The Illusion Of Adulthood

Adulthood is the ultimate illusion.
It plagues us like nothing else can.
It shapes the expectations that we have
of ourselves
and the ones
that others
have of us.
If you wise-up,
you will see that what you don’t see
shows you more
than what someone chose to show you.
Wisdom and Identity
have a cumulative nature that reveals
that the number of years
are the least of a person.
There is no brightline
and therefore there is no cusp
and thusly
there is no such thing
as acting your age
